Vans Surf collaborated with the African surf lifestyle brand Mami Wata on a head-to-toe collection that draws inspiration from African surf culture, key historical and cultural events, and the power and positivity of surfing. The collection is a celebration of African surf culture and pays homage to the past while giving a nod to the future generations that will define African surf culture. The collection uses bold graphic details in contrast to a micro-checkerboard inspired by hand-woven fabrics popular throughout Africa.
